Joseph is a fully Qualified Accountant with over twenty years experience working in Public Practice. Joseph has worked and continues to work closely with individuals and families with respect to their taxation and financial affairs. He can advise clients on a broad range of taxation and small business initiatives. Joseph understands completely what the various taxation authorities expect with respect to compliance. Clients of the practice feel confident their obligations are under control and in safe hands.




Teresa Chui

Teresa Chui

Teresa completed her Bachelor of Business degree, in both Accounting and Finance majors, at the Queensland University of Technology.  Prior to joining Joseph Hughes Accountants, she worked for two years as an auditor at KPMG Taiwan which involved preparation of financial statements, planning and implementation of audit procedures.  She also gained experience with evaluation of internal controls and verification of the accuracy of compliance information in accordance with prescribed company policies and governmental regulations. 

Teresa possess a strong background in accounting and has great analytical and communication skills which enable her to interact efficiently with clients.  She is currently being trained in all aspects of taxation and ready to provide services to clients.

Sugiati completed her Bachelor of International Business and Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) at Griffith University in 2012. Sugiati joined Joseph Hughes Accountants in March 2016.

Sugiati specialises in both small business accounting and taxation across a broad range of industries and is currently progressing into self-managed superannuation fund administration.  Sugiati is currently undertaking the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand CA Program.

Christine Hughes has extensive experience as a receptionist and office administrator. Christine’s early work experience commenced in the insurance industry. Christine has worked for a number of Australia’s leading Insurance companies including QBE, GIO and Wesfarmers Federation Insurance. Christine developed her friendly customer service skills and client centric approach in these roles.

In recent years Christine took up the challenge to increase her skill set in the administration area whereby she is now competent in preparing the weekly payroll for a business and understands the many intricacies required of an administrator for a busy accounting practice.




Priscilla Watson
Administration Assistant

Priscilla Watson is our Administration Assistant.  Priscilla is the main point of contact for our new Central Queensland clients and our valued clients in Orange NSW.  Priscilla’s experience in Administration was gained working for the Health Insurance Commission for 13 years.
